numark x6 and x9 are not scratch mixers at all according to numark!

I'm getting a new mixer for christmas! woot woot
After looking around the interweb for a week or two i decided to get the vestax pmc05 III
Ive heard its great for scratching.
When a DJ scratches, he/she moves a record with one hand and "cuts up" the sound with the other hand using the crossfader. Without a good crossfader its very hard to produce sharp cuts. Furthermore, its basically impossible to scratch when the crossfader starts to bleed.
BUT IT CAN BE DONE


In my search for a new mixer i found some pretty nasty stories regarding numark mixers and especially the crossfader that they come with. One forum poster even said his fader started to bleed after just 2 days!!!!hold on hold on hold on... in all fairness, numark does make a good crossfader.....its called the CP Pro, BUT numark doesn't sell the x6 and x9 scratch mixers with the CP Pro... how can numark get away with calling the x6 and x9 scratch mixers when they dont even come with a quality crossfader!?
I asked them:

Why do you advertise the x6 and x9 mixers as scratch mixers if they come with a less than par crossfader? Obviously you guys have the CP Pro crossfader, which is way better for scratching. Why not include this in your so-called "scratch" mixers?

Dear Zach,

The X6 and X9 are scratch type mixers because of the channels and style configuration of the mixers, a true professional scratch mixer would be the PRO SMX. Some customers need more features or capabilities than others, so there are certain models that companies make to meet the needs of customers; either being price point and or features requirements.
